Calling all young digital artists in the UK! arebyte’s The Hotel Generation 2021 open call is now open
hotel generation mentors the next generation of UK digital artists through the critical early stages of establishing a career in the arts.
arebyte’s annual program encourages young digital artists from regional cities across the UK to develop their practice and interact with new audiences in London and abroad with the aim of expanding their network and fostering new opportunities . This initiative nurtures a sense of belonging to the London art scene which can be notoriously difficult to infiltrate and creates new conversations between London and other UK cities.
the submission criteria is as follows:
– be 28 years of age or younger
– do work using emerging and digital media
– if you have an art degree (not compulsory), it must be from a university outside of London
– live in the UK but outside of London (at the time of application)

Program milestones: A four-month development program
Focused on creative development and industry skills, the program gives four artists from outside London the ability to manage sustainable careers. Applicants receive a stipend to develop an exhibition proposal with curatorial advice, reviews from established artists, studio visits, access to digital training sessions and business support including workshops marketing and fundraising practices. The program can be followed remotely.
A two-day stay in London, 8 + 9 July 2021 (dates to be confirmed later)
Selected artists will be invited to London to meet and meet Abyte staff, as well as pitch their initial proposals and visit exhibitions in London.A personal exhibition at the arebyte Gallery, London
hotel generation culminates in a fully funded solo exhibition at arebyte gallery for one of the four applicants selected by a jury in August 2021. The exhibition of the final selected artist will take place in February 2022.
