Visa Launches NFT Program for Digital Artists

Visa launches the NFT program to support digital artists worldwide. When it comes to major credit and payment companies, we can easily guarantee Visa. The ideology behind the NFT program is to help digital artists understand non-fungible tokens (NFT) more easily. Additionally, according to Visa, NFTs have the potential to create many opportunities for artists. It will also end the gap between art and its customers. The company will sponsor counseling sessions on the importance of different cryptographic technologies.

Visa wants artists to know all about NFTs

Before Visa launches its NFT program, let’s take a closer look at them. Non-fungible or NFT tokens are a single or a group of digital art. And these arts can include images, graphics, videos, gifs and many more. Blockchain technology is behind the creation of these NFTs. Cryptocurrencies are also based on the same technology. Typically, people can be seen buying or selling an NFT in the form of an auction. It’s quite similar to a standard auction for antiques and arts. People are investing millions of US dollars for these and their name on the blockchain, which makes the buyer feel like they own something. CryptoPunk #3100 is an NFT that sold for $7.58 million, and it is one of the most expensive NFTs on the market.

Let’s go back to the program launched by Visa. The company partners with MLB (Baseball) player Micah Johnson, who is now a digital artist, to show the benefits of NFT. Micah is a creator of NFT Aku, and he leverages NFTs to bring his creations to life. Johnson thinks NFT has a lot to offer. Additionally, Micah shares that he has a group/community of people with a common interest. And when the group supports each other and understands each other’s work, it just goes beyond appreciation.

So the program we’re talking about will include a group of people, including Johnson, to learn about blockchain tools. The company will also ensure that artists acquire adequate knowledge on how to use digital payment methods to earn from their work.

NFT has always been a hot topic

Among many companies, Visa is one of them to venture into NFT consulting this year. And the reason behind it could be to take advantage of the popularity of different instruments used in the creation of NFTs. Visa also recently purchased CryptoPunk NFT for around $165,000 in Ethereum. So now, after looking at all of this, reports infer that Visa sees NFT as a serious proposition to expand its market.
